Obtain and Organize Contacts

Initial Contact List (ICL)

Organizing contacts is your first step as an affiliate organizer. The best place to start is with your state affiliate, the LPMO (Libertarian Party of Missouri). The national Libertarian Party maintains a database of members and contacts in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Contact your state IT Director for this list and to request access to the CRM for your county. That way you will have the ability to add events to the state website’s calendar, add new contacts to the CRM, and even make notations if one of them passes away.

In addition, voter data may be available from your local county clerk for a nominal fee. Since in Missouri we don’t declare a party when we register to vote, the voter list is more useful during campaigns to identify voters who vote often.

Once you’ve put together the contacts of LPMO voters in your county, you’ve got your Initial Contact List (ICL). You can work with this for now. See the appendix for some suggestions on how to make the most of the contacts list.
