I have a better idea... trash the assessments and go to jail. Would never happen. Government has no accountability, that's why they shouldn't be allowed to tax working and retired and poor people from their homes whenever they want more money because they've squandered it all.

The figures only apply to the small segment that goes directly to the county as 1 taxing agency... There are about 10 other agencies that make up the total amount paid for real estate property taxes. (like the KC school district etc etc)...

That's great and all, but how will schools, libraries, nursing homes, hospitals, city parks, the city streets, .... and so on....get money to pay their bills?

The article says a 100k home pays $133 in property taxes? Excuse me? It's over ten times that amount on a home less than 100k. Am I missing something?

Hell in St.louis county my 900sqft home has 2600 in property taxes... only 6 paychecks needed to pay that off.

$20 deduction this year $200 rise forever. He really does think you are stupid.
